I painted this very large canvas from a watercolour made on site. I genuinely have no idea where I did this - but I think Windermere is in the valley below!
Marshes
Acrylic and collage on paper
I painted this from a drawing done on site, across the marshes at Frodsham in Cheshire, one of my favourite bird-watching haunts. Avocets hang out in the pools at the front, marsh harriers in the reed beds. Much of this is made from paper and card glued onto the original acrylic painting.
Barns at Ullswater

I painted this watercolour from a pencil drawing done while my son paddled in the lake. I love the stone barns and walls of Cumbria, rich in colour and texture.
